An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for the position of Deputy Head teacher, within the Villages’ Multi Academy Trust at Nunnery Wood Primary School.

The Trust can offer:

  • a forward thinking Trust Board, Local Governing Bodies and Leadership Teams
  • a friendly, supportive and positive staff team in each academy, committed to providing the best for children
  • a positive school environment where children, families and staff work in partnership - “secure, engaged and equipped for life”.

Nunnery Wood Primary School is a happy and vibrant two-form entry school where team work is strong and behaviour is very good. Our friendly staff are always striving to achieve the very best for our delightful and enthusiastic pupils.

The successful candidate should be fully committed to helping us achieve our aims and visions and will be a key member of our five-strong senior leadership team at Nunnery Wood Primary School. They will work in partnership with the headteacher, taking a wide range of responsibility for the work and development of the school. Although the post will not carry responsibility as a class teacher, the deputy should have strong teaching skills and the ability to develop teaching and learning across the school.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check upon appointment.
