To lead the Council's Housing Advice team in delivering Housing Register, Housing Advice and Homelessness services to residents in the Wyre Forest District.
To lead and manage a team that delivers a Housing Register, Housing Advice and Homelessness service in Wyre Forest. To work with the Head of Strategic Growth and the Principal Strategy and Enabling Officer in developing and implementing strategic approaches to housing policy, housing advice and rehousing services and to recommend changes where appropriate. To be part of and contribute to the Strategic Housing Services and Planning Policy management team and wider council teams. To develop a high performing, customer focused culture in the delivery of housing register, housing advice and homelessness services.
Educated to degree or equivalent standard in area relevant to the job Worked in housing or a related field for a minimum of three years Has experience of line management of staff. Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of housing legislation and in particular relevant circulars, statutory instruments, codes of guidance and case law around allocations and homelessness. Preferably hold an appropriate professional qualification with the Chartered Institute of Housing.
