An opportunity has arisen to work in Strategic Commissioning within each of the following teams: Older People and All Age Disability, to deliver a challenging portfolio of projects to secure our vision for vulnerable people. The Role

There are 4 positions available:

Post 1: Adult Carers Commissioner - Older People - Permanent

This is an exciting and varied role that requires a committed and intellectually agile commissioner to drive best value, best quality, joined up services for our most vulnerable citizens. This post is for a Commissioner with specific responsibility for Adult Carers. Your primary responsibility will be working with the commissioned provider to ensure that Adult Carers within Warwickshire receive the right support to enable them to maintain their caring role whilst living well. You will also work closely with Commissioning Colleagues to develop the care at home offer for citizens in Warwickshire, with a focus on prevention and independence.

Post 2: Integrated Disability Commissioner - All Age Disability Team – Permanent

This is an exciting and varied role that requires a committed and intellectually agile commissioner to drive best value, quality joined up services for our most vulnerable citizens. The post holder will focus on commissioning arrangements that support good outcomes for people with a learning disability and will deliver Needs Assessment/Gap Analysis, Strategy Development, Stakeholder Engagement, Customer Co Production, Service Redesign and Contract Management and Review.

The post holder will have significant experience of all key aspects of the commissioning cycle and be committed to supporting people with disabilities to live independently within their community. In order to achieve this, the post holder will be skilled and experienced in partnership working with a wide range of stakeholders including citizens and their families/carers; Health and/or Housing.

Post 3: Integrated Disability Commissioner - All Age Disability Team - Fixed Term 12 months to cover maternity leave.

This is an interesting and varied role that will require a committed and experienced commissioner to deliver and support a number of projects within the All Age Disability portfolio. We have a busy schedule over the next 12 months and are committed to progressing an integrated commissioning approach for this population. Therefore, it is important that you are able to work successfully with a range of stakeholders to drive service redesign and in addition have specific responsibility for Autism provision, Advocacy across statutory health and social care; and general contract management for commissioned services.

Post 4: Children's Commissioner - Fixed Term 2 years

This post is for a Commissioner within our Children's Commissioning Team, where we commission both Social Care and Education Services. The post will be a generic Children's Commissioner post working across the children's commissioning agenda's and will drive Needs Assessment/Gap Analysis, Strategy Development, Stakeholder Engagement, Customer Co Production, Service Redesign and Contract Management and Review.

The ideal candidate for this post will have significant experience of commissioning children's services in either health, social care or education and will be skilled in all elements of the commissioning cycle. The successful candidate will also be an expert in partnership working and be familiar with stakeholder co-production to align well-being objectives. They will also be passionate about developing and managing the delivery of positive outcomes for our most vulnerable children and young people.

Key Requirements

The post holder for each role will need to be skilled and experienced in partnership working with colleagues across the Council, Health and the Independent Care Sector; the post holder will have significant experience of all key aspects of the commissioning cycle and be committed to supporting vulnerable people to live a fulfilled life with the right support and guidance.
