Walsall Together Transformation Programme Manager

Grade – Band 8B (£49,242- £59,964 per annum)

Walsall Together is seeking to implement an Integrated Care System (ICS) in Walsall, in line with the national direction on how health and care systems should be collaborating more closely to deliver better outcomes and more sustainable economies.

The aim of the programme is to improve the health and care of the people of Walsall, through providing more cohesive and person centred support that maximises independence and well-being. A model of care has been designed which describes how providers plan to work together, wrapping services around a patient to ensure they are seen by the right service at the right time in the right place.

The Transformation Programme Managers have a key strategic role in the integration work to implement an ICS.

They will be responsible for specified programmes of work which will cut across the Walsall Together partnering organisations:

  • Walsall Healthcare Trust
  • Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Trust
  • Walsall Council
  • Walsall CCG
  • Walsall GP Federations

We are looking to recruit three experienced Transformation Programme Managers who are enthusiastic, flexible and motivated individuals.

In the interim the post holders will report to the Director of Strategy and Improvement of Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust and will support in the development and delivery of the ICS.

The successful applicants must be able to demonstrate experience in managing large complex change programmes and be competent with service re-design and service transformation. The post holder will be responsible for all elements of the programme (governance, reporting, monitoring, tracking etc.), including the strategic planning, facilitation and execution of the programme with the partnering organisations and operational divisions / departments within. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are pivotal, as the role will involve liaising with internal and external senior stakeholders, clinical and professional leads to drive change forward to enable delivery of the projects and initiatives.

Please note these roles are being offered as a fixed term or secondment for 18 months.
