We are seeking to appoint an Administrative Assistant to join the Housing Estates and Communities Team. The postholder will be responsible for the purchasing and ordering of goods for the team, process a range of enquiries and undertake a wide variety of admin duties as required.
Hours: 37 per week.
Location: Harbour Building, Waterfront West, Brierley Hill
You will be responsible for the purchasing and ordering of goods, the payment of invoices and raising of orders using the Agresso system and comply with the Council’s Financial Regulations and Standing Orders. You will have demonstrable experience of working within a busy office environment, be fully conversant with Microsoft Office and be able to work to tight deadlines. Reporting to the PA, you will assist in supporting the Head of Service and be able to take accurate minutes and maintain confidentiality at all times.
The successful candidate will deal with a range of enquiries and have excellent communication skills, be able to work both independently and as part of a small team. A flexible approach with a positive 'can-do' attitude is a necessity, along with the ability to balance a varied workload to meet the needs of the service.
