We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with an interest in, or experience of working with pupils with dyslexia to support a child in Year 3 with an EHCP.

The post will involve working one to one with a child with a working diagnosis of dyslexia to provide support with their English and Mathematics work in particular. The child will have a Specialist Teacher for 8 hours per week, 2 hours of the Teaching Assistant’s time will be working alongside the Specialist Teacher to learn strategies to use in class.

Ridgeway is a successful 2 form entry primary school within the Burntwood Cooperative Learning Trust. We currently have 414 pupils on roll in the main school and a further 200 children accessing Nursery Education and full day care in our governor led Ridgeway Extended Services (Sunbeams Nursery and Sunny Days Nursery).

School received a further ‘Good’ rating from OFSTED at our last inspection in November 2016 and we have continued to grow and develop since this time in our journey towards outstanding.

This post will initially be for a fixed term until December 2019 when the EHCP will be reviewed. Assuming there are no changes made to the EHCP, the post will be extended in line with the requirements of the EHCP.
