This role is within the Highways Technical Services team and is responsible for the development and management of Highways maintenance schemes including work carried out on carriageways, footways and the drainage network. The role requires working closely with the Highways Operational teams and external contractors to ensure that the Highways Capital maintenance programme is delivered on time, within budget and to specification.

The post holder will have:
• BTEC Higher in Civil Engineering or equivalent in the same field OR significant experience and knowledge in a Highways maintenance field.
• Understanding of quality standards and Health and Safety practices concerning Highways maintenance.
• Experience of implementing and monitoring projects, including financial management.
• Should be familiar with a range of highway maintenace treatment options, contract types and supervision experience.
