Dudley has a range of excellent opportunities for committed and enthusiastic Environmental Health professionals

We are now looking to recruit 4 equally committed and motivated professionally qualified officers who are competent, confident, enthusiastic and highly motivated to fill a range of posts in our busy Food and Environmental Safety and Health teams. The Food team deals with food safety, food standards and infectious disease control and the Environmental Safety and Health team deals with pollution and noise control, air quality management, health and safety, animal welfare, planning applications and statutory nuisances.

We are inviting applications from officers who can work on their own initiative, have a desire to develop their career and are ready to adapt to future ways of working. We are looking for people who can engage with local communities and businesses and have a real passion for improving the environment and public health.

 

Principal Environmental Health Officer (Grade 12)

£42,432 - £44,255 pa

The successful applicant will be an experienced, qualified environmental health officer and be required to manage a team of professional officers in the field of pollution and noise control, air quality management, health and safety, animal welfare, planning applications and statutory nuisances.

 

Senior Environmental Health Officer (Grade 10) x2

£33,769 - £36,740 pa

The successful applicants will be experienced, qualified environmental health officers and be required to carry out enforcement duties in the team in which they are engaged. One post is in the team dealing with pollution and noise control, air quality management, health and safety, animal welfare, planning applications and statutory nuisances. The other post is in the Food Team dealing with food safety, food standards and infectious disease control.

Environmental Health Officer (Grade 9)

£30,452 - £32,808 pa

The successful applicant will be a qualified environmental health officer and be required to carry out enforcement duties in the Food Team dealing with food safety, food standards and infectious disease control.

Applicants will have a diploma or Bsc/Msc degree in Environmental Health or equivalent, EHORB registration and a full driving licence.
