Coombe Country Parks offers 500 acres of beautiful gardens, woodland, lakeside walks, bird watching and Educational Activities.

Coombe has won many awards for its quality and excellence in management, conservation, visitor experience and education including SSSI status for 40 years, Green Flag (parks and green spaces excellence award), Visit England's Visitor Attraction Quality Scheme and Natural England's Country Park accreditation and the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence. You will be joining a dynamic and enthusiastic education team who specialise in educating people of all ages and abilities. We offer a diverse range of programmes/ activities from school, family activities and guided walks at Coombe Country Park, War Memorial Park and other parks and green spaces in the city

Under the direction of the Education, Events and Activities Officers, the Assistant Education, Events and Activities (Casual) are responsible for assisting in the day to day, organisation and delivery of a wide range of educational, events and activities for both children and adults at Coombe Country Park, War Memorial Park and other Greenspace sites throughout the City
On a paid, but voluntary basis, cover for other duties required at both Coombe Country park and War Memorial Park and other staffed sites supporting in shop, with general maintenance, cleaning as required as required.

You will have knowledge of
Current Outdoor and Environment Education practices
Different learning styles and techniques
Delivering a wide range of activities and programmes to all ages and needs
Relevant health and safety issues.
Understanding and commitment to equal opportunities
Some knowledge of play work and informal education
Tasks required to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction within the park

Working Pattern

This is a casual position, hours to be worked when required
