Senior Brokerage Officer

Salary:  £36,153.00 - £39,961.00 per annum

37 Hours per week – Permanent

Staffordshire County Council broker adult social care services for people with social care needs. The Brokerage Service is excited to offer an opportunity to recruit a Senior Brokerage Officer into our growing team.

The Service plays a crucial role in sourcing support and services to meet previously assessed adult social care needs whilst achieving best value for the taxpayer. The Service is still in a growth stage and offers the successful candidate a unique opportunity to help shape and influence the on- going development of the service and to continue to build on the achievements so far.

The Service covers all types of social care such as residential and nursing care, home care and day care, this includes all adult social care citizens. The service utilizes digital systems where possible to source care and support but there is also a need to contact providers directly to negotiate on price and quality. The service has also recently taken on the role of conducting many of the conversations directly with our citizen’s in relation to their care offers.

The service plays a vital role in linking in with other partners such as commissioners, commercial unit, quality assurance team and providers. This partnership approach aids in identifying gaps in the market helping to shape and model future commissioning ventures using current and reflective data that identify current and future demand.

If you are a dynamic, resourceful and committed individual that enjoys being challenged and wants to make a difference in a fast paced environment then this is an opportunity for you

We offer a supportive work environment which values the input of our team to help to shape our business model.
