Tenancy Intervention Officer

Full time – 36.25 hours per week

12 month Fixed term contract (Internal secondment where applicable)

Stratford upon Avon

£24,750 - 27,500 (dependant on experience)

Orbit is looking for a dynamic and motivated housing or income professional to lead a new pilot service, working between Orbit and Stratford District Council on a new trail blazing project with the aim of reducing homelessness and tenancy failure across the district.

You will be required to visit customers in their own homes, in the community or at suitable locations and provide a direct service to them facilitating their ability to reduce or remove the threat of tenancy failure. Creating partnerships with SDC, you will co-ordinate a support programme using both Orbits internal advice teams as well as working closely with other key services to provide an immediate and follow on plan to ensure tenancy sustainability. You will have excellent knowledge of welfare reform and benefits and a good understanding of housing, as well as the ability to engage with hard to reach customers to provide direct and innovative interventions.

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to undertake a DBS check and must have a full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle.

This is a 12 month Fixed term contract with the possibility of extension and you may be required to work outside of normal office working hours.
