PERMANENT CARETAKER
Salary: £8,595.00 - £8864 per annum
Required as soon as possible
20 hours per week – working Wednesday to Friday – Term Time only plus 5 weeks
The Headteacher and Governors seek to appoint a caretaker to join our friendly hardworking team. The successful candidate will work closely with the existing caretaker to look after our school.
Matchborough First School Academy is a large ‘3 form entry’, single storey school built in 2003.
The successful applicant will:-
- Be energetic, positive and highly motivated
- Take pride in our school environment
- Be able and willing to undertake minor repairs and maintenance work and organise and take responsibility for areas of Health and Safety and Risk Management
- Have knowledge of policies including COSHH
- Have the ability to form positive relationships with children, parents/carers and staff … to have a ‘can do’ attitude

The hours per week are:-
Wednesday - 1:30pm – 6:30pm
Thursday – 6:30am – 10:00am and 2:30pm – 6:30pm
Friday – 6:30am – 10:00am and 2:30pm – 6:30pm
(Flexibility is required)
The successful candidate will be responsible for Key Holding and may be called out to the school outside of the working day and at weekends.
A uniform will be supplied.

The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check, medical and Disqualification by Association. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an Essential requirement for this role.
