We are seeking to appoint a qualified HLTA to join the Stoke Park School EAL Team, to provide in-class support and deliver educational activities with individuals, groups and whole classes under the direction and supervision of the EAL Co-ordinator.

The successful candidate will be committed to building brighter futures and will be able to work and plan collaboratively with mainstream class and subject teachers, providing language support specific to the curriculum, including the identification of language aims and setting of clear targets for learning.

You will have a minimum of two years’ classroom experience, or experience of relevant work with young people in one of a range of fields such as education, youth work, health or social work, and an understanding of the needs and characteristics of EAL students and their families. As a highly organised and adaptable professional, you will be able to work calmly under pressure and to communicate effectively with students; identifying and meeting their needs to remove barriers to learning.

Work Pattern

35 hours

TTO plus 1 week (39 weeks)
