Hawbush is a dedicated one form entry school where we aim to 'Live our dreams and be exceptional'. We encourage all candidates to contact the Headteacher to see our wonderful facilities. Hawbush is located in Brierley Hill, Dudley and serves the local community and pupils from the age of 2 until 11. Children progress through our school from Reception to Year 6 and are engaged in wonderful learning opportunities led by talented teachers and teaching assistants.

We offer a wide variety of extra-curricular opportunities and enrichment experiences. Children's learning is enhanced by the excellent facilities which consist of spacious classrooms and corridors, a hall for PE and dining, healthy meals which are cooked on the premises; library and extensive school grounds with soft and hard play areas, and a large playing field. The building was completely redesigned and opened in 2011 with a modern, exciting environment for our children.

 

The Governors and Headteacher of Hawbush Primary School are seeking to appoint a passionate, highly ambitious Teacher to join our highly committed staff from 1st September 2019. Year group is negotiable with the successful candidate and this role would suit an NQT.

We are seeking a newly qualified  teacher who is:
•an innovative practitioner that understands how to engage all learners
•a good or outstanding teacher with high expectations
•committed to personalising learning and closing the gap for vulnerable learners
•able to demonstrate creative flair, enthusiasm, flexibility and the ability to challenge all learners
•able to plan and deliver a high quality learning journey that engages, challenges and moves all learning forward
•able to recognise that every second counts to further learning!

We are looking for somebody who has:

 •Qualified to degree level and has achieved QTS
•A strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and recognises their duty to keep children safe
•A strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment without levels experience
•The ability to plan, monitor, evaluate and review pupils learning
•Strong behaviour management and recognises that every child has potential and can achieve

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children; therefore the post is subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check.
