Birthplace of the industrial revolution – celebrating its 50th Anniversary as a New Town – described by Government as ‘the beating heart of foreign direct investment’ – this is Telford’s time.

Telford & Wrekin Council is ambitious and commercial with a reputation for innovation.   We are the only local authority to have signed a Land Deal with Homes England which is seeing Government investment of £44.5m into site preparation and infrastructure to drive growth.  In return the Council has taken responsibility for marketing and disposal of all Homes England residential and employment land.  Through Enterprise Telford – our inward investment organisation – we are currently working with investors developing bespoke investment solutions set to drive out more than 2800 new homes and 8500 new jobs, directly investing £29m into acquiring land and building bespoke premises for investors – delivering in excess of £7m pa from our Property Investment Portfolio.

The post holder will be responsible for leading on the delivery of a wide range of capital receipts from corporate disposals as well as the disposal of assets under the Telford Land Deal.

 

The successful candidate will be a chartered surveyor with a strong background in land disposals and the planning process with the ability to the take sites from inception through to obtaining planning permission and on to disposal.
