As clerk you will need to acquire a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation and Codes of Practice, and have excellent communication skills, together with the ability to relate to a wide variety of people.

Hearings take place during the daytime throughout the year in different parts of Warwickshire. Clerks may also be offered work in the wider Midlands area. Our busiest time is between April and July, when appeals may be held over several days most weeks during term time. You will need to have:

  • A good standard of education

Training will be provided. Clerks will be home-based but will need to travel throughout Warwickshire, and from time to time in the wider Midlands area, to attend hearings. The role is on a sessional basis and the salary is pro-rata to hours worked.
