Team Manager – Adult Social Care (Extended Hours Services) – Ref: SS42318
£43,324 – £48,478 (plus 5% enhancement)
This is an exciting time to join Walsall Council’s Adult Social Care service. We have a forward thinking leadership team, who have brought a renewed focus on professional practice development across the workforce, alongside, a strong commitment to promoting positive and improved outcomes for service users, their carers and our communities.
We are now looking to appoint an experienced practitioner to the role of Team Manager – Adult Social Care, Extended Hours Services.
You will take on management responsibility for our Out of Hours Social Work team and our newly established Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) Hub. You will be supported in the task, by a number of Advanced and Senior Practitioners and by the AMHP Lead Officer.
Working very closely with a wide range of partners, particularly Children’s Services, the local Mental Health NHS Trust and others, you will help shape the future delivery of our services.
You will be a highly skilled, motivated and inspirational practitioner/manager, who is committed to staff and service development, with a drive and ambition for improving outcomes for service users, carers and communities. You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to strengthening partnership working.

Despite significant budget pressures, the leadership team remain committed to on-going development, strengthening social care practice and quality and performance improvement.
