Can you help us to make a difference for the children, families and community of Oldbury? SinglePoint Family Hub is an established and successful BIG LOTTERY and school funded family focused project based on the site of Christ Church CE Primary, in the heart of Oldbury. We are partnered with St Francis Xavier, Langley, Rood End and Christ Church CE Primary Schools.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and flexible individual with a high level of interpersonal skills to work as part of our established team to make a difference for local families.   We have secured a further 12 months of BIG Lottery Funding for our Family Hub to support families and staff from our partner schools, agencies and the wider community. You will be responsible for helping the project achieve the following outcomes:

  • Families with specific, multiple & complex needs receive holistic support enabling positive change to minimise social isolation and hardship.

  • Family relationships are enriched and strengthened by the provision of fun, meaningful, accessible and subsidised quality time opportunities.

  • Working parents and families experiencing challenges have better access to affordable childcare and holiday provision to improve life chances.

You will work in innovative ways with individuals or small groups of identified pupils whose families are receiving family support from the SinglePoint project, assisting them to overcome barriers to engaging with school/family successfully. There will be a focus on supporting pupils within Before and After School provision in addition to within their school setting, in the home and in holiday provision.

The successful applicant will have a basic knowledge of the locality and of the services available to children and families from both voluntary and statutory sectors, along with an awareness of the needs of families and children.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will need to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
