Job Details

Impact in the Black Country aims to address the barriers faced by unemployed young people aged 15-29 years old, supporting them to secure positive outcomes including employment, apprenticeships, training and further education.

The City of Wolverhampton Council is one of the five delivery partners for Impact in the Black Country and leads on providing the service to Wolverhampton residents. Wolverhampton has a vision to support young people into positive employment opportunities, apprenticeships and training so that they can meet their potential both now and in the future.

We think that through our partnership working through Black Country Impact and with our local partners, we can really make a difference to young people’s lives.

We are therefore looking to recruit to a dynamic team of individuals who put young people at the heart of their work and are passionate about the work they do to support young people into positive outcomes.

Impact Key Worker

Fixed term until 30 June 2021

Grade 6

Full time

£28,221 – £32,233

The key worker will work within a team of key workers, headed by a team leader, to provide intensive person-centred support to young people supporting them towards achieving a positive outcome. You will be expected to proactively engage and work with young people in a variety of settings to ensure that they are supported throughout their journey towards and into employment, apprenticeships, training and further education, including ensuring they are supported once a positive outcome has been secured. Key workers will manage a caseload and adopt a solutions-focussed approach to sourcing bespoke individualised support including providing information advice and guidance and identifying appropriate customised support training.
