Solihull Community Housing is seeking two dynamic, driven and resourceful individuals with a ‘can do’ attitude for their Housing Options team. This opportunity is available to join the Housing Options Team, and develop our service in line with new legislation regarding homelessness.

These roles will require the successful candidate to exercise confidentiality, and a high degree of professionalism, as they will be dealing with highly sensitive information affecting vulnerable people.  

Key responsibilities will include:

Assessing housing and support needs for applicants who are homeless or threatened with homelessness, working with applicants and partners in order to agree personalised housing plans, making statutory decisions regarding homelessness in accordance with current legislation, and taking proactive steps to reduce rough sleeping and prevent homelessness.

The successful candidates will also have the ability to utilise the housing register and nomination agreements with registered providers, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and expertise in the use of MS Outlook, Word and Excel.

Also essential to the role are excellent planning and organisational skills; as well as the ability to work under pressure, whilst ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in the quality of your work;
