Are you a champion of all things digital? If so, come and join our team leading the council’s digital transformation. Our website and intranet are more crucial than ever to help communicate vital information about our services and enable more people to do business with us online. We are looking for a motivated and proven Web Development Officer who can manage and develop our public facing and staff focused websites. Your excellent web and content skills, coupled with a great eye for design, will ensure our websites and intranet are interesting, engaging and easy to navigate. You will also be a dab hand at using social media channels, posting updates and responding to online queries. As a valued member of the Communications Team you will work with the Corporate Leadership Team, service managers, staff, stakeholders and suppliers to make our digital aspirations a reality.Educated to at least A Level (or equivalent). A relevant web development qualification or at least 2 years experience and training.At least two years experience of working within a large scale complex web operations environment. Experience of HTML and CSS including the development of new web page templates, layouts and reusable code snippets.This role is 18.5 hours per week. A current driving licence is desirable but not essential to this role.
