Tamworth Borough Council’s customer service centre is at the heart of our council services and we are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who would like to join our busy team.
Our customer service assistant must be someone who can work independently and as part of a team. The role is a varied one; you will undertake routine and one off tasks, whilst being the first point of contact for many of our customers.
Duties include greeting and advising customers who visit Tamworth Borough Council’s offices as well answering telephone calls and emails, and interacting with customers via webchat. You will also undertake a range of administrative duties including dealing with post, photocopying, scanning, indexing, and ordering stationery.
We are a team who welcomes new and fresh ideas, so come with your suggestions! We are on a journey within customer services; we embrace new ways of working and welcome new technologies. Computer literacy is essential as you will be required to promote the Councils digital services and to support our customers with online services.
