Wake Night Enablement Worker

36 hrs per week

NJC Scale 2 £8.81 - £9.01

Lakewood Court forms part of the My Options - Activity Wellbeing and Care Services which are part of Telford & Wrekin Council. We provide a wide range of person-centred support to vulnerable people of all ages and abilities.
Lakewood Court is a purpose built Residential Home for up to 18 people based in the heart of the Wellington community, we were rated ‘GOOD’ across all 5 outcome areas in our last CQC inspection. Being purpose built we are able to offer our customers an excellent service along with a highly trained, experienced and dedicated team who will promote independence and empowerment within a homely atmosphere.
We are looking to recruit experienced and highly motivated wake night Enablement Workers to work at Lakewood Court. You will play a key role in the delivery of high quality 24/7 personalised enablement services which are delivered to adults with learning difficulties, PMLD and complex health and care needs. Supporting people to maximise independence, wellbeing and to positively engage in their local communities.
You will be able to demonstrate a positive track record in all aspects of support and enablement for vulnerable people, promoting independence wellbeing and community engagement. You will have experience in and a commitment to, delivering best quality and efficiency

To provide individualised support to customers in a variety of community and building based settings; to enable individuals to achieve personal objectives which look to maximise Independence, Choice, Wellbeing and Community Involvement.

The service forms part of Telford & Wrekin Council’s My Options Activity Wellbeing and Care Services which is delivered over a 24/7 working pattern. This is a regulated service and available for regular inspection by the Care Quality Commission, therefore requires a high level of accountability

Possession of an NVQ or QCF 2 relevant Care and Support qualification or willingness/ ability to complete The Care Certificate.
Good standard of literacy and numeracy.

Ability to meet the travel requirements of the post.
Willingness to work flexibly across The My Options Services as and when required.
Where a 7 day a week service is provided the post holder will work within a shift pattern – covering Bank Holidays/evenings, weekends and nights where necessary.
The grade for this post reflects the fact that the post holder will be expected to work a rota as part of their normal working week, which includes days, evenings, and weekends which means no additional enhancements are payable. Any over time worked will be paid at plain time.
