Woodsetton School are seeking to appoint a fixed term Level 1 Teaching Assistant to add capacity to our team.

We cater for primary aged children, aged 4-11, with a range of communication and learning difficulties and we expect the highest professional standards from everyone who works here including students and volunteers. Our Governors play an active role in ensuring that this is upheld, offering support and challenge when needed.

We place the child at the centre of what we offer, utilising individual EHC plans to structure our provision and support the holistic needs of our children. Working in partnership with families and other agencies is crucial to our success.

Woodsetton School are seeking to appoint a fixed term Level 1 Teaching Assistant to add capacity to our team. This contract will be until 31st August 2019. The successful candidate will be required to support across the full age range in school.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children; therefore the post is subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check.

We are looking for someone with

  • Demonstrable experience of working with or caring with children (Experience of SEND is desirable)
  • Experience of assisting children to use resources for learning
  • Ability to use basic technology
  • Able to work constructively as part of a team with an understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities and own position within theseA culture of safeguarding is embedded throughout our school and all staff are appropriately trained to ensure that they are best placed to report any concerns. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
