Academy:                   St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School 

Salary Range:            £25,463 to £29,909 FTE

Contract type:           37 hours per week

Term time plus 15 days (41 weeks per year)  

 

St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School which is part of the multi-academy company, Christ the King Catholic Collegiate are looking to appoint a well organised, resourceful and proficient individual to join a dedicated and motivated school team and staff who are fully committed to providing children with a broad and exciting learning experience. We invite applications from highly motivated, pro-active, forward thinking individuals with good organisational skills and business acumen.  This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the success of the school and will contribute to the strategic planning, development and monitoring of support services within the school.  The post holder will take effective responsibility for financial management of the school budget, ensuring the budget and resources are used in the most effective way. The role involves ensuring effective operations to keep everything running smoothly, building good relationships with colleagues, pupils, parents and school partnerships within our multi academy family.

Working under the direction of the Headteacher and senior leadership team, the post holder will be responsible for the delivery and efficiency of all support services including HR, administration, health and safety and premises management and must be able to demonstrate proven financial management skills including budget modelling, preparing and monitoring, reconciliation, ensuring financial and payroll systems are effectively managed.  A good understanding of business finance is important and a working knowledge of health and safety, compliance and policy in the broadest sense. 

The ideal candidate will have a positive approach to work, be able to work independently as well as working part of a team.  You will also need strong planning skills, decision-making, time management and IT skills.  It is preferable to be ideally familiar with financial school processes and procedures but not essential.    You will need to possess the tact and tenacity to perform in an environment where there is daily interaction with pupils, staff and parents and have excellent communication skills with an ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines and are reliable.
