Education Safeguarding Advice Service (ESAS)

Grade 9 (£30,756.00 – £35,229.00)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone with considerable education safeguarding knowledge and experience to contribute to the Education Safeguarding Advice Service (ESAS) dedicated telephone service. The successful post holder will also be required to work as part of a small team and make significant contribution to a range of linked activities relevant to Education Safeguarding.

This will be a permanent and full time (37 hours) position principally based within Multi- Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) and co-located alongside Staffordshire LADO and the First Response Team at Lindum House in Stone, Staffordshire. This service will typically operate between 8.30am and 5.00pm (Monday to Thursday) and 8.30am to 4.30pm (Friday).

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate an ability to provide effective guidance and support to Staffordshire Schools in relation to safeguarding enquiries across a very wide range of parameters. We are looking for someone who has considerable knowledge of national and local guidance, and the legislative frameworks relevant to the safeguarding of children within the education sector. A good understanding of prevailing thresholds relevant to Safeguarding and Early Help services would also be essential.

Lindum House is a Staffordshire Police building and any person who is not a Police Officer or a member of Police staff is subject to NPPV (non-police personnel vetting). This post is subject such vetting and requires the successful candidate to complete a NPPV form prior to any formal offers of employment being made
