SALARY: Level 7 (£23,111 - £25,463) + allowances for weekend working, 12.5% shift allowance and sleep in payments, giving an average salary of £29,075 - £31,907. This will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked.

We are looking to recruit both full-time and part-time Residential Care Workers for our Small Group Homes for young people who present social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

You must demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to caring for young people, either through previous roles in social care or in other roles. You must be able to manage challenging behaviour, as well as support young people to take part in a wide range of activities, attend education and engage well within the community in which they reside. This is a challenging role and would suit an individual whom is able to use their own initiative and work well under pressure. Working as part of a team is crucial and you would need to be extremely resilient and to open to a therapeutic parenting model.

WORKING ROTA: There is a requirement to work flexible hours to cover a rota and this will include evenings, weekends and bank holiday working. You will also be required to sleep in when required and rostered to do so.

If you have the right values for our organisation, you will be supported by a programme of continuous training and development. If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, we welcome an application from you.

Please note that if an employee who is currently at risk of redundancy within the organisation applies for this vacancy their application will receive priority. If this happens you will be advised accordingly.

Previous applicants need not apply however, this does not apply to any candidates who are currently at risk of redundancy.
