Term Time Only (38 weeks per annum)

The Learning Development Department at Ashlawn School wishes to appoint to the post of Level 1 Teaching Assistant. The position will require the candidate to work with colleagues and students in a variety of curriculum areas and across the ability range. There will be the opportunity to work within whole classes, with small groups and individuals to develop effective learning and encourage independence.

Key Requirements

The position requires enthusiasm, motivation and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Suitable candidates may have experience of the school environment or of working with young people and an understanding of the varying needs of individuals would be an advantage. This post may suit someone who is interested in teaching as a career and wishes to gain some experience within a large busy school. GCSE English and Maths at Level C or above is also required.
