The Role

37.0 Hours per Week

12 month Fixed Term Contract 

The Council’s Public Health Team is looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to support the exciting Year of Wellbeing initiative in 2019.

The Coventry and Warwickshire Year of Wellbeing runs from January to December 2019 and will bring a welcome focus onto the many positive wellbeing opportunities already existing in Coventry and Warwickshire.

We aim to encourage people to prioritise doing something to promote their well-being during 2019, whether this is at work or at home.​

Our vision is for people in Coventry and Warwickshire to be part of active and healthy communities, feel inspired and empowered to take action to improve their own and others’ health and well-being in 2019 and beyond. 

 The Year of Well being comprises a number of key themes for activity: 
• Celebrating local people, services, and successes 
• Increasing physical activity levels 
• Promoting workplace well being for all employed people 
• Starting a conversation to tackle loneliness and social isolation 

The post holder will be central to Coventry and Warwickshire-wide project activity that coordinates, up scales and achieves positive outcomes for people and organisations across the full range of partners. The work is varied, exciting, and the perfect opportunity to shine for a proactive and energetic problem-solver. 

The role will operate across Coventry and Warwickshire and the post holder will have a Coventry building base of One Friargate.

 

Key Requirements

You’ll have strong programme/project management skills and have experience of working collaboratively with staff across a range of organisations to develop joint solutions to complex problems.

You’ll have a track record in problem solving, effectively using data to understand local people’s needs and targeting resources in a way which maximises efficiency and effectiveness.

You’ll also be a strong communicator, able to explain and present complex information to a wide range of audiences, including Warwickshire’s Health and Wellbeing Board, Elected Members and community and voluntary sector groups.
