There is widespread recognition that it is better to identify problems early and intervene effectively to prevent escalation rather than responding only when the difficulty has become so acute as to demand action. This vital and challenging work is delivered locally in Dudley through our Family Solutions Team where services have been designed to promote resilience, not reliance. We provide families, communities and local organisations with the help they need to support all children and young people to do well and to stay safe.

Hours:  37 per week

Location: Family Centres in Dudley

In bringing our plans to life we are seeking to recruit an organised and motivated Early Help Enabler to join Family Solutions.

As an Early Help Enabler within Early Help you will be expected to:

  • Provide support and advice to a wide range of locally based practitioners children, young people and their families.
  • Work with a wide range of professionals whilst being innovative, creative and solution focussed.
  • Exercise good judgement and empathy when engaging with both families and practitioners.
  • Possess a good understanding of the principles of Early Help and a broad knowledge of agencies that can offer support to families.
  • Be a point of contact for those seeking advice and signposting on Early Help services and processes.
  • Offer help and support to practitioners in order to complete good quality Early Help Assessments.
  • Offer advice and signposting to services, supports with multi-agency meetings and completion of robust support plans and reviews.
  • Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of early help assessments by the completion of audits to support the development of good practice.
  • Work as part of a team to assist in delivering workforce development training around Early Help.
