We are looking to appoint a well-motivated individual to be part of a busy team providing support services to the Team Managers in the Care Leavers Team. We are seeking someone who can provide a range of business support activities to enable the service to meet its statutory obligations and provide timely and effective services to young people and their families.

Your role and responsibilities will encompass interesting, varied and challenging tasks where effective communication, organisation and flexibility would be paramount. You will take the lead for delegated work activity relevant to the specific service areas being supported.

The BSO is expected to work closely alongside the Team Manager to ensure that tasks are undertaken to monitor and improve the running of the team.  Lots of patience and a flexible approach to work are required.  A good attitude to teamwork, an enthusiasm for working creatively and co-operatively and a commitment to healthy challenge without conflict are essential.

The successful applicant will need to have the ability to recognise, acknowledge and have regard to confidential and sensitive matters including child protection.
A polite, efficient manner particularly when working under pressure and in circumstances where interruption may be common place is also essential

Reliability, ability to work individually and as part of a team, effective time management skills, computer literacy and the ability to prioritise your own workload are also essential key qualities for this post.
