Job Details

Hanbury Primary School is an over-subscribed and very popular school in West Bromwich. We are recognised for our high standards of behaviour and our nurturing ethos, where every child counts.

The governing body is looking to appoint a dedicated and pro-active Family Support Worker who can make a tangible difference to our children and their families.

We are looking for someone who will:

Be an integral part of the Safeguarding team.

. Liaise professionally with outside agencies e.g. social care, housing, children’s centres etc…

. Work closely with families to improve attendance, including home visits.

. Work closely with families to offer support and overcome difficulties (including signposting to other services)

. Attend and participate in meetings, making notes, keeping comprehensive records and reports.

. Offer family support through parent programmes, home visits etc.

. You will have strong experience of working with children and families, and a good understanding of parenting support and safeguarding.

. Act as a point of contact for families who need support.

. must have the ability to travel around the Borough.
