Job Details

  • Do you have a full UK driving licence with a minimum of 12 months driving experience?
  • Do you have experience of using commercial mowing machinery, including pedestrian and ride-on machines?

We are looking for motivated and experienced seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our Grounds and Estate Maintenance team.

You will need to be able to work flexibly and be able to travel across the borough. 

The Grounds and Estate Maintenance team, based at Taylors Lane, Oldbury provides a broad range of horticultural services to locations across the Borough.

Your main responsibilities will include grass cutting and mowing operations.

Working hours are 7am – 3pm Monday to Friday.

You'll start with a full induction into the service and get to meet the teams you will be working with. You will be required to undertake and achieve driver familiarisation training and assessment to enable you to use Sandwell Council Fleet vehicles.

You’ll also be provided with footwear and a full uniform (Personal Protective Equipment) so you are able to carry out the duties of your role safely.

These posts are fixed term where successful candidates will be required to start on the 18 March 2019 and will end October 2019.
