The Governing Body of St. Matthias CE Primary School in Malvern is seeking to appoint a permanent teaching assistant to work across EYFS to provide support. This will initially be with Reception aged children.  The successful candidate will be expected to provide general classroom support when required, working alongside the classroom teacher and to deliver programmes of learning to specific individuals / small groups of pupils. The role will include working with children who are eligible for Pupil Premium, those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and other vulnerable groups.   Knowledge and appreciation of the Early Learning Goals (ELGs) and experience of working with other age groups across the primary age range is desirable. Applicants should state any areas of expertise they may be able to bring to the school.

  • Have good Literacy and Maths skills

  • Have relevant qualifications including First Aid
  • Be committed to raising the level of achievement for all pupils, regardless of economic background or other need
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Be able to reflect the values of our Church school
