Teaching Assistant position (fixed term until 31st August 2019) - ref TV61818

A part-time Teaching Assistant to work in a Year 2 class (15 hours – AM only)

This is a Level 2 post.  Grade G4 – Scale points 16(£6257) – 21(£7016) including training days per annum 

We are looking for a teaching assistant with experience of working in a Year 2 classroom. We are a committed team of driven colleagues who look for the very best in every child and strive for the highest possible standards for all. Essential Qualities: 

To possess at least a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification.
To have current experience of working in a Year 2 classroom.
To have a good working knowledge of Year 2 expectations in the New National Curriculum.
To be able to work as part of a team and under your own initiative.
To liaise with the SEND co-ordinator to develop appropriate strategies to engage all learners.
To have a good working knowledge of 1-1 or small group interventions.
To demonstrate good organisational skills.
To be enthusiastic, friendly, approachable and flexible.
To be willing to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the children in our care.
To be able to use ICT as a tool to support learning.
