TEACHING ASSISTANT POST- 1:1 support for a child with additional education needs.

Salary: £10765 - £11119 per annum

The post will initially be for 5 days per week 8.30am to 3.00pm with 45 minutes for lunch. The salary grade will depend on experience and will have an additional SEN allowance.

We have a child in Year 5 who has additional needs and therefore, requires 1-1 support.  We are looking for a caring teaching assistant who has experience of working with children who require behavioural and educational support. The candidate will be able to help develop social and communication skills, interact with others and access the curriculum. The right person will be able to work alongside an established team, have a good sense of humour, good communication skills, be organised and punctual and be committed to high quality care. 

The post holder will need to be able to work on their own initiative and under the direction of the class teacher. Candidates must have Grade C or above for English and Maths at GCSE level or equivalent. It is desirable that the candidate will be educated at level 3 (NVQ) or equivalent.  Experience of SEN support is highly desirable along with additional training or qualifications in this area.
