Job Details

The Domiciliary Care Referral Team is situated within Strategic Commissioning and is responsible for ensuring that Customers within Warwickshire can get receipt of safe and appropriate Domiciliary Care Services in a timely manner. It is a small dedicated and dynamic team that work within agreed process's to ensure that clear performance targets are met . The Domiciliary Care Referral Team secure Domiciliary Care services for approximately 200 customers each month, it is a fast paced team where joint working and clear communication is critical to its success.

The Role

Fixed term contract: 12 months

A Domiciliary Care Placement Officer will undertake various roles within the team. This will include securing services with contracted providers, communicating with customers and their families, negotiation and mediation with stakeholders to ensure that customers can access appropriate services. The role will require a positive approach to complex or challenging situations, with a focus on solutions and clear communication with all parties. although the role can be challenging at times, ensuring that customers in Warwickshire are getting the right support at the right time and remain in their own homes is very rewarding. 

Key Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Experience in the use of IT systems, excel, databases etc 
  • Experience in customers service/telephone skills 
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and problem solve 
  • Ability to understand and work inline with agreed process and procedures 
  • Experience in negotiation, or mediation to obtain agreed outcomes
