An opportunity has arisen to join our Special Transport Team in the role of Relief School Transport Minibus Driver.
Special Transport covers a complex range of transport services, providing educational and adult welfare support to schools throughout Herefordshire and beyond.
The role:
The role involves driving a minibus collecting special needs students from home and various schools in Herefordshire. You will also be responsible for the safe loading and unloading of passengers and for assisting with supervising the children during transport. You should have experience of minibus driving and ideally supervising children. You will need to have good communication skills, both verbal & written, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
This is a relief post so you will be required to work as needed to cover staff absence. On the days you are required the hours will be approximately 06:30 to 09:00 and 15:00 to 17:30 weekdays only.
The work involves issues of a sensitive and confidential nature and applicants will need to display a clear understanding of the need for complete confidentiality.
