Warwickshire County Council are looking for an Administrative Assistant to support their County Highway's Team.
You will be responsible for providing general administrative duties as well as administrative duties required to support the Delivery Team/Client Team including raising Task Orders for the Term Maintenance Contractor and managing the defect pool of work. In addition you will be undertaking routine financial processes and will assist with other duties as required .
The Role
Creating works orders and draft programmes of work
Responding to in-hours call outs and liaising with the Term Maintenance Contractor
Assisting in the administration and investigation of public enquiries
Providing administrative support to the Delivery Team/Client Team
Monitoring invoices and making payments as directed
Dealing with stakeholders including members of the public, Councillors, other Councils, Emergency Services and other bodies. To undertake relevant and appropriate duties and responsibilities required for the post ensuring the delivery service is run in a flexible and efficient manner.
37.0 Hours per Week
Key Requirements
You will need accurate literacy, numeracy and administrative skills and the ability to analyse information to solve general queries. Good keyboard skills are also required for the role.
As you will be managing a variety of relationships with different stakeholders, it is important you have good communication skills and can work on your own initiative.
Good planning and organising skills are key for this role and you should be used to working under pressure to meet deadlines allowing flexibility and resilience.
