National Minimum Wage for Age:
25 and over: £7.83 per hour
21 to 24: £7.38 per hour
18 to 20: £5.90 per hour
Under 18: £4.20 per hour
Apprentice: £3.70

If so then we have a great opportunity for an Apprentice within our Facilities Management Team at Walsall Council which would provide the chance to gain skills, experience and knowledge in a busy service area whilst working towards a nationally recognised qualification.
As an apprentice you will:
- work alongside experienced staff
- gain job-specific skills
- earn a wage and get holiday pay
- study towards a related qualification
The successful candidate will learn and assist in all elements of administration including carrying out day to day customer service, financial management and general administration duties.
This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English
We are seeking an individual with GCSE (A-C) in English and Maths (or equivalent).
The qualification framework attached to this apprenticeship opportunity will require the appointed person to complete one day per week of training either onsite or within a training provider environment.
This opportunity is offered as a Fixed Term contract for 13 months.
Closing date: Friday 1st February 2019
