About Us

The Country Parks Service has a portfolio of 5 Country Parks and 3 Greenways across Warwickshire serving in excess of 900,000 visitors a year.

Kingsbury Water Park lies on the River Tame and is a beautiful mosaic of lakes, meadows and woodland attracting over 350,000 visitors each year. It is a great place for families to visit with a range of activities on offer. It is renowned for its birdlife and is popular with birdwatchers; it also has one of the biggest coarse fisheries in the area.   

We’re looking for a Receptionist to join our team.

The Role

As a Receptionist you’ll be working within a team on a part time casual basis. Shifts are 5 hours every Sunday April to September (plus occasional Bank Holidays) then, as and when required October to March. You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors to the Park and provide advice, guidance and support in person and on the telephone. Selling shop merchandise; information leaflets; permits and responsibility for taking some activity bookings are also part of your role. In addition you’ll help the wider team as necessary and work additional hours as required.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role it’s really important you have excellent communication and customer service skills, used to solving basic queries and supporting customers.  As you’ll be taking cash payments and updating databases, it’s important you have accurate cash handling; numeracy and IT skills as well as the ability to work with confidential information.  It’s essential you have experience of working within a team and on your own initiative; good planning and organising, used to working under pressure and flexibility to work the shifts required on weekends and Bank Holidays.
