The Urgent Promoting Independence Service provides support to individuals who live in their own home. The service is registered with the Care Quality Commission and is based at Wildwood, County Hall Campus. This service is provided across the whole of the county of Worcestershire and teams operate within specific areas so the need to travel is essential.

We have various contracts and shift patterns that encompass 7 day working.

The aim of the service is to provide support to individuals so they can remain in their homes and to promote their independence following hospital discharge or crisis intervention and, to observe during a period of assessment any ongoing service requirements that would aid recovery.

You should have a commitment to developing the lives of people providing care and support that meets individual outcomes and promotes independence. You should have the ability to travel independently, work autonomously and be a good team player. You need to have good communication skills, excellent organisational skills and experience of managing and leading teams. You will need an understanding of maintaining the health & safety and wellbeing of service users in their own home.

We understand that our staff, are paramount to the quality of the service as such, we provide excellent training and training time is paid for. We pay travel time between calls and you can claim for the miles you drive in your car. We have excellent terms and conditions which include paid holiday above the statuary legal requirement and inclusion into the local authority pension scheme.

The service is provided from 07.00 to 22.00. It is centrally managed through a Call Centre based in Worcester,

Interviews will be held through January and February.

If you have any questions please contact the Home Care call centre on 01905 822876 and ask for Debbie Bell or Rhian Hill.
