Job Details
Building on the successful administration of over £150 million of funding allocated to the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) during the past 4 years. Walsall Council has been appointed as its single Accountable Body, taking responsibility for all future funding allocated to the LEP from the 1st April 2019. The Council is also the Accountable Body for a number of European funding streams on behalf of the Black Country including the European Social Fund Community Grants Programme.
We are looking for the following officer to join a dynamic team responsible for a range of tasks including; negotiating and agreeing contracts and grant agreements with the public and private sectors, associated claim and payment processes, compiling programme cash-flow forecasts together with on-going monitoring and compliance.

£35,795 - £40,454 per annum
Fixed term until March 2021
This post-holder will play a lead role in delivering and promoting excellent financial and performance management across the programme, together with the ongoing maintenance of effective working relationships with a wide range of external partners, including the private and public sectors.
You will need to demonstrate a clear understanding of public sector financing and compliance activity, together with effective programme management skills. If you have exceptional attention to detail, build effective and collaborative relationships and are resourceful, resilient and highly motivated, we would welcome your application.
This role will be initially appointed on a fixed term basis until March 2021, with extensions dependent upon additional funding being approved. You will have access to on-going training and support as you help to promote good relationships, best practice and decision making across the Council and its partners.
