Staffordshire County Council is recruiting a full time Social Worker to work in the Intensive Interventions Fostering Team offering support to foster carers and placements across the team but primarily within the Turnaround, Residential to Foster, and Resilience programmes. The team is located in Stafford but you will hold a caseload on a county wide basis. TurnAround carers offer secure family based placements for up to 72 hrs to ensure secure future placement planning to young people.
You will contribute to the recruitment, retention, placement matching, and supervision and support to Staffordshire’s Fostering households and to assist as required in the wider work of the Intensive Interventions Team. You will undertake a direct supervisory support role to foster carers and contribute to pre-placement assessments to ensure young people placed are safely supported and managed in a way that ensures the young person achieves positive outcomes during and beyond their placement experience. You will work directly with a range of multi-agency professionals to coordinate long and short-term placement needs.
