Post: Primary SENDCo 0.2FTE and 0.8FTE KS1 Classteacher (one post)

Start: 29th April 2019

Scale Point: Negotiable (+SEN Responsibility Allowance pro-rata to SENDco 0.2 FTE)

We are seeking to appoint a committed and experienced SENDCo and class-teacher on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will maintain and develop the school’s SEND provision using the SEND Framework and Code of Practice. The post will involve: managing all SEND IPM/EHCP documentation; monitoring effectiveness of provision; liaising with agencies, staff and parents and coordinating interventions in and out of the classroom.

Teaching commitment will be on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in KS1 in the first instance and will be class-based. A Friday will be spent as SENDco.

The Ideal candidate for this post will have recent experience in helping pupils make strong progress and have a proven track record in effective assessment and accelerated learning for SEND pupils.

Candidates may have additional specialist SEN qualifications, such as the National SENDCo Award or equivalent experience.

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged
