Are you passionate about marketing and keen to learn all about the digital world of social media and communications?

This is an exciting opportunity to gain first-hand experience supporting the team here at Telford & Wrekin Council, in particular, Leisure and Commercial services.

As a Marketing Apprentice, you will assist the Marketing Officer in a variety of communication and marketing projects, campaigns and activities using multiple channels engaging with various audiences.

A creative flare for content generation and passion for learning is key; the marketing apprentice will have involvement with projects for multiple leisure centres, Telford Ice Rink, Telford Town Park, Telford Snowboard and Ski Centre, Telford Golf and Fitness Centre and many more locations within Telford.

You're aged 16 plus and interested in starting a career with the Council, perhaps looking for your first job after leaving school or college.

You will combine work with training, working towards achieving nationally recognised qualifications while gaining valuable skills and practical experience.

Fixed term for 12 months

37 hour week
£3.70 per hour, paid monthly

You must not be taking part in full time education, as we are not eligible to receive funding for those that have a degree and not already have obtained NVQ 2 or 3 in Marketing Communications Apprenticeship.

As a team member, you will work under the instruction / guidance of the team leader to undertake work.

You will study for a National Vocational Qualification Level 3

The NVQ content will be tailored to suit the tasks you will be doing in your day to day work and you will receive support and guidance in building a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your competence in the workplace.
