SITE TECHNICIAN

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Hednesford is seeking to employ a part-time site technician. 

Required from March 2019 working 10 hours per week; days and times can be flexible but will include one evening per week locking up school.

We are looking for someone who:

Possesses practical skills relevant to site maintenance

Will undertake minor repairs and routine maintenance

Will decorate classrooms and other areas

Will share the opening/closing of school when needed including access for contractors and school lettings

Will be the first point of  contact for alarm call outs

Will undertake maintenance duties

Will have Health & Safety responsibilities including fire/emergency lighting mandatory checks

Will ensure the health and safety of pupils and staff  in relation to the accomodation and grounds

Will support the Catholic ethos of the school

The person appointed will need to be:

Enthusiastic

Able to follow instructions and work independently

Able to work to high standards

Able to work on their own initiative

Adaptable

Trustworthy and  honest

Flexible in approach and in respect of hours worked

A basic knowledge of health and safety legislation is required.
