FAMILY LIFESTYLE ADVISOR
£20,541 - £23,111
(£13,879 - £15,615 pro-rata)
Based at Warwick District Council
25 hours per week
Fixed Term until November 2019
Subject to further funding this may be extended to November 2028
This is a great opportunity to be part of a team to work on the Public Health Warwickshire funded family weight management project which has been running since 2015. This project aims to reduce childhood obesity in various ways including the provision of evidence based structured 9 week family based workshops promoting the benefits of exercise and nutrition to children aged 4 – 12 and their parents/carers. The Family Lifestyle Advisor will be based at Warwick District Council and will work in schools and leisure centres in the district to deliver interactive sessions and promote active recreation and healthy lifestyles.
The ideal candidates will have experience of working in a health or leisure environment promoting participation in sport and healthy lifestyles and have a strong track record of partnership working. You need to be an enthusiastic self- starter who can relate well to both children and adults. The Family Lifestyle Advisor will be employed by Rugby Borough Council but will be work across Warwick District as part of the County-wide delivery programme.
