About Us
The Country Parks Service has a portfolio of 5 Country Parks and 3 Greenways across Warwickshire serving in excess of 900,000 visitors a year.
Pooley Country Park is a 62.5 hectare site, one third of which is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest, contains several pools caused by mining subsidence and has woodland habitats. Situated on the Coventry canal, the Park and is open every day of the year, except Christmas Day. It’s a great place for young families with a play area and tea room on site.
We’re looking for two Receptionists to join our team.

The Role
4.5 Hours per Week
Fixed Term Contract – April 2019 to September 2019
As our Receptionist you’ll be working within a team on a part time basis for 4.5 hours a week on alternate Saturdays and Sundays, and some Bank Holidays. You’ll also work 4.5 hours on alternate days Monday to Friday during Warwickshire school holidays. As the first point of contact for visitors to the Park you’ll provide advice, guidance and support in person and on the telephone. Preparing and serving hot and cold refreshments in our Tearoom; selling shop merchandise; information leaflets and permits are also part of your role. In addition you’ll help the wider team as necessary and work additional hours as required. There may be an opportunity to work over the winter period if required.

Key Requirements
To be successful in this role it’s really important you have excellent communication and customer service skills, used to solving basic queries and supporting customers. As you’ll be taking cash payments it’s important you have accurate cash handling; numeracy and IT skills as well as the ability to work with confidential information. It’s essential you have experience of working within a team and on your own initiative; good planning and organising, used to working under pressure and flexibility to work the shift pattern required on weekends and school and Bank Holidays.
