This vacancy is fixed term until October 2019.
Sandwell’s Prevention Stores delivers / maintains / services equipment and assistive technology to enable the people of Sandwell to live as independently as they can within their home environment.
As an important front-line service working alongside a range of Health & Social Care Services, we are looking to recruit a Social Care Lead Officer on a fixed term contract to oversee and manage the day to day running of Prevention Stores.
The main duties of this role will be to supervise and manage the team that consists of Social Care Coordinators, Equipment Technicians and Warehouse Operatives. You will also be responsible for ensuring the service meets the required delivery timescales and achieves its performance targets.
You will have: -
- Experience of managing a multi-disciplined workforce
- Strong people management skills
- Problem solving skills
- An ability to develop working relationships internally & externally
- An understanding of Performance Management

The service operates 7 days a week (standard hours), including Bank Holidays although this post is not required to work weekends and Bank Holidays.
